After going through the video I took at the Dallas, TX, festival, I’m happy to share my Something Wonderful 2017 Aftermovie in beautiful 4K. This fan recap video provides a glimpse into the 2-day festival that recently took place at the Texas Motor Speedway. Something Wonderful 2017 delivered on all accounts and was worth the trip I took from Florida to Texas and back to be a part of it.

Quick Festival Review
I have plans to publish a more extensive review of Something Wonderful 2017 to accompany this aftermovie, but here’s some quick highlights from the event.
This was the first year the festival has expanded to 2 days, and I’m glad because I was itching for more after the first day. The stage production made great use of LED panels on all three stages, and the sound blasted across the festival grounds no matter what stage you were at. Sound bleed was not an issue and the bass was deep and crisp.
Speaking of bass, the lineup skewed towards artists who produce tracks in trap and dubstep which was a big plus for fans of these genres. The Electric for Life and Wonder Grounds stage nicely balanced the deep 808s and wobbly bass of the Wicked’s Gate and Ascension stages with artists in the house, progressive house, and trance genres. I spent a good amount of time at all the stages and thats a testament to how well rounded and programmed the lineup was at this event.

Something Wonderful 2018
Next year’s event has not yet been announced, but I’m anticipating the return of this festival. Disco Donnie Presents and NightCulture have been organizing successful EDM festivals all over Texas, and with the turnout this year, I expect area ravers are eager for more.
