The Full Moon Party is one of the most popular travelers’ events in Thailand, Asia, and the world. Every year, thousands of people travel to Koh Phangan for this party happening once every month during the full moon. The Full Moon Party is best-known for the neon color paints people use to their bodies, black lights, and loud music perfect for dancing.
The Half Moon Party and Black Moon Party are similar events as the real Full Moon Party. There aren’t as many people but for some travelers, that’s a good thing. Like the names say, the Black Moon Party happens usually during the new moon and the Half Moon Party happens between these two events.
If you love the atmosphere and idea of the moon parties but hate beach events, Sramanora Waterfall Party is a perfect option for you. It’s also perfect before or after party for the Full Moon Party in case you are staying for longer in Koh Phangan. The Sramanora Waterfall Party is held every month two days before and 2 days after the Full Moon Party in Ban Kai jungle. The party area is surrounded by waterfalls.
The Jungle Experience is often also called the Full Moon Warm Up Festival. You can let out your wild side in the Jungle Experience. There are many popular performers from DJs and musicians to martial art professionals. You can also try graffiti painting, chill out in lounges around the jungle, watch laser shows and do many more activities that change a little bit every month.
Doesn’t partying in a water park sound perfect? In that case, you should take part to the Slip N Fly party. The Slip N Fly waterpark was built in Koh Phangan in 2014 and it’s open only a few times every month. In addition to huge waterslides, there are DJs playing music, good food, areas for other games like volleyball, and pools for swimming. It’s the only day party in Koh Phangan.
