Lineups by Stage at Something Wonderful 2017
I can’t be the only one counting down the days until Something Wonderful 2017 (there’s 19 left, by the way). The Something Wonderful stage by stage lineups were revealed with the full lineup. With main stage headliners usually getting the most attention, I thought it would be cool to take a deeper look at the other stages that will be on the festival grounds.
The main stage (called the Ascension stage) will be supported by 2 more stages. There is the Wicked’s Gate stage, and a third stage that will be the Electric for Life stage on day 1 and the Wonder Grounds stage on day 2.
Wicked’s Gate Stage Lineup
Named similarly of the event’s sister festival, Something Wicked, it’s easy to see that the Wicked’s Gate stage is where you want to be if you like bass. It’s likely where I’ll be for most of the festival as there are some acts I definitely want to catch.
Kayzo, SAYMYNAME, and Styles & Complete come to mind along with Ghastly and Wiwek. I caught Zomboy at Sunset Music Festival 2016 and the energy was insane, so I highly recommend catching his set if you like your bass heavy and wobbly.
We don’t have the exact set times yet, but here are all the acts scheduled to perform on the Wicked’s Gate stage (in alphabetical order):
- Bear Grillz
- Borgore
- Buku
- Flux Pavillion
- Ghastly
- Hippie Sabotage
- Kayzo
- Loosid
- Morgan Page
- Said the Sky
- SAYMYNAME
- Styles & Complete
- Warez
- Wiwek
- Yultron
- Zomboy
Wonder Grounds Stage
While the third stage is the curated Electric for Life stage on day 1, it turns into Wonder Grounds on day 2.
The lineup features a mix of house, techno, and electro. If none of these acts immediately stand out to you, be sure to wander over to the Wonder Grounds stage on day 2 once in while and see what the underground sounds are like.
Discovery is one of the best parts of music festivals, and this could be a great introduction to some sounds you may not be as familiar with.
Here’s the Wonder Ground’s stage lineup in alphabetical order (set times pending):
- Claude Vonstroke
- Drezo
- Giraffage
- Justin Martin
- Malaa
- Rezz
