Groove Cruise Cabo 2018 themes reminder

With less than a week until the GCFAM-favorite ship, the Norwegian Pearl, sets sail out of San Diego for Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, this is a friendly reminder to make sure you pack all of your outfits and accessories for the theme parties. The Groove Cruise Cabo 2018 themes provide a guide for your attire across eight different parties.

You don’t have to participate, so no pressure, but if you do, rest assured you’ll be in good comopany.

Groove Cruise Cabo 2018 themes

With eight official themes over the 4 night sailing, you can be sure you’re going to run into some of the most outrageous things you’ve seen at a festival.

Wednesday (October 10) – Boarding – Show Your Colors

The Groove Cruise Cabo 2018 themes start with a simple theme based on getting to know your fellow GCFAM members. The Show Your Colors theme is a great way to know just how experienced (or new) everyone is around you. This makes it easy to start conversations with new “virgins” or reminisce with other “veterans” about past events.

Here’s what to wear:

  • Virgins (1st sailing) – White
  • 2-timers – Yellow
  • 3-5 GC sailings – Blue
  • 6-7 GC sailings – Green
  • 8+ GC sailings – Red

Wednesday (October 10) – Night – Out of this World

After the initial dopamine rush of boarding the ship with your GCFAM, grabbing a bite to eat, and maybe a dip in the pool, it’s time to get ready for the evening. The night theme for Wednesday is Out of this World. The idea? Space, aliens, galactic beings – all things outside of this planet we call home.

Thursday (October 11) – Day – Tutus and Ties

Whether you’ve pushed through the daybreaker set or you’ve managed to get up after just a few hours of sleep, get ready for the first day at sea theme, Tutus and Ties. This is an easy one: wear a tutu. Don’t want to do that? That’s ok – you can wear a tie. Want to be an overachiever? Wear both.

Find your style:

Thursday (October 11) – Night – Pirates of the Caribbean

You’re on ship. Many of you are going to come with some sort of pirate outfit or accessory, anyways. Might as well get a theme party going, right? After rocking your tutus and/or ties all day, it’s time to get your pirate on.

Friday (October 12) – Day – Neon Me

You made it to Cabo, and you’re about to set foot on land again. Grab your brightest, most neon colors and make your way to the ME Cabo (an absolutely beautiful beachfront resort with great views of the iconic “El Arco” arch). Neon shirts, shorts, swimwear is what you can expect your fellow GCFAM members to be wearing.

Friday (October 13) – Night – Shine the F*** Up

This is such a fun theme. After raging out all day in Mexico, come back to the ship, grab a bite to eat, and put all the most shiny things you can find. Put on your glitter, sequins, reflective clothing, light up hats, etc. during this theme party.

Saturday (October 13) – Day – Back to School Parade

Despite days of around the clock partying, the last day of Groove Cruise tends to have some of the highest energy levels as the GCFAM has settled into the flow and let loose without the ties of their mobile data connection.

During this theme party, you’re encouraged to dress like you’re going back to school with a Groove Cruise twist.

Saturday (October 13) – Night – Team Up

Whether you’re traveling solo and have already met other GCFAM members online, or you’re coming on with your entire squad, the Saturday night party, Team Up, lets you show off your group costumes.

Gather your crew, and pick your own group theme!
