The ship
The 4-day voyage to Cabo will be take place aboard the one-and-only Norwegian Pearl. I’m very familiar with this ship having sailed on it twice before for Groove Cruise Miami. It’s one of my favorite ship layouts.
I’m excited that the west coast will get to enjoy the NCL Pearl, but I’m also excited to hear that the ship was part of a $400 million enhancement initiative. I thought it was great already. I can’t wait to see what the ship offers now.
The Norwegian Pearl features 13 restaurants, 16 bars, a bowling alley, a casino, and a spa with a thermal suite.
The ship also has “Haven” suites. This limited selection of cabins come with a balcony jacuzzi, a grand piano, and even your own butler.
The departure port
Less than three hours away from LA, CABO18 will be sailing out of San Diego. This is an awesome depature port. The port is very close to the airport and downtown. You could walk between all three if you choose.
Downtown San Diego has a bustling nightlife scene, and if you like animals, you can check out the world-renowned San Diego Zoo while you’re there (like I did in 2016). They have pandas which are incredibly rare around the world.
There will be a pre-party in San Diego before the ship sets sail so make plans to come at least a day or two early to start the weekend off right.
Watching the sunset over Coronado as the ship departed during the last Groove Cruise Cabo sailing was one of my favorite moments. It’s the thumbnail to my aftermovie from that event, and I still have a picture from that moment as one the wallpapers on my computer.
Groove Cruise Cabo literally sails off into the sunset.
The destination
Cabo. San. Lucas. Do I really need to say more?
With it’s famous arch, beautiful beaches, marine wildlife, and delicious food, Cabo San Lucas has been a highlight of my Groove Cruise experiences to date.
